These days many people use the term “subconscious mind” in the context of healing, thoughts, mind power among others. As such, gaining mastery to activate and control the subconscious mind is a pursuit that can bring about happiness and wellness. Here’s how to activate the subconscious mind.
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future; live the actual moment. Only this moment is life. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Create a positive mantra
When life’s pressures abound, calm yourself down by repeating words such as “I am a winner”, “I am happy” etc. The best way would be create a mantra that counters a self-judgement claim. For instance, the mantra “I am winner” would be perfect when your subconscious tells you that you are a loser. When stating the mantra you can place a hand on your stomach, heart or punch the air to make it more assertive and effective in activating the subconscious in the direction you want to go.
Subconscious mind Practice visualization
Practice visualizing success, wellness, happiness and other positives many times over. You can start by visualizing details of a familiar object and then graduate to visualizing lovely scenes from a movie. Take note of the nice smells, the pleasant sounds, the gorgeous colors, and the tantalizing tastes. Once you have mastered these, place yourself in them and twist them to mirror your goals and aspirations.
Meditation
Choose a quiet time to focus your mind and thoughts on something positive. Then determine the time you intend to spend meditating. You can begin with 5 minutes and increase in future sessions. Once you are comfortably seated and stretched out to release tensions on the back, neck and shoulders, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Become fully aware of your inhalations and exhalations then relax and let the mind wander. Let thoughts in one area such as imagining a beautiful car, come to your mind. When the mind has wandered to another thought, focus on your breathing again and refocus your mind on the previous line of thought. Keep doing this for a session of 10 or more minutes.
Conscious writing
Get ready with a timer, a paper and a pen in a quiet environment. Set the timer, say five minutes and then begin writing any thoughts that come to mind. When the timer goes off analyze your thoughts. Do this over and over for several sessions for a few days then analyze and reflect on the things that will have been revealed by your subconscious mind.
Now that you have learnt how to awaken your subconscious mind you need to take action upon what will be revealed by your subconscious thoughts. Make it a lifestyle to retain positivism of the subconscious mind by feeding the mind with inspiration.
